LABOR DAY
We will be open on Monday September 6th from 12 noon until 3:00 PM to be able to redeem pets to their owners, for adoptions and for volunteer dog walking. Please come by and see us iin between your holiday gatherings!

4TH OF JULY
We will be closed Sunday July 4th!! We hope everyone enjoys the July 4th Holiday!
NEW HOURS
We have changed our hours to better serve the public! Our new hours are 11 AM to 6 PM Monday through Saturday and 12 PM to 5 PM on Sunday. Our hope is that with the extended hours it will give customers more time to adopt that forever friend! The new hours became effective on Sunday May 16th.
PETCO ADOPTION WEEKEND
Join us for a Petco Adoption Weekend Friday May 14th and Saturday May 15th. We will be at the Petco store in Lakewood at Alameda Ave. and Wadsworth Blvd on Friday from 11 AM to 3 PM and at the Golden Petco at Colfax Ave and C-470 on Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM. There will be over 40 adoption groups at the Golden Petco on Saturday so if you're looking for your forever friend come to Petco and see if you can find that match!
HSSPV will be at A Paris Street Market which starts this Saturday May 1st at Aspen Grove Shopping Center. We will have adoptable dogs at the event from 9 AM to 1 PM. Please stop by and say hello while you are shopping at the market. Click on the event logo for more details about A Paris Street Market!
PETSMART NATIONAL ADOPTION WEEKEND
HSSPV is participating in PetSmart's National Adoption Weekend which runs from Friday April 30th to Sunday May 2nd. We will have over 40 adoptable dogs at two different PetSmart stores. The majority of dogs will be at the PetSmart store in Glendale at Colorado Blvd and Alameda Ave. We will have more adoptable dogs at the PetsMart store in Lakewood at 1st and Wadsworth Blvd. The adoption weekend starts tomorrow at 9 AM! if you have been thinking about adopting a dog this weekend is the time! GRAND OPENING GALA-A COMMUNITY CELEBRATION
On Friday February 26th and Saturday February 27th we held our Grand Opening Gala VIP Event and Open House. We entertained over 300 people over the two days of the event. Thanks to all our paid and in kind sponsors who helped us put on a great event to introduce the humane society to the community!

The Humane Society of the South Platte Valley (HSSPV) will be closed January 1st New Year's Day
December 2009
The Humane Society of the South Platte Valley will open to the public the week of Christmas 2009. Please stop by and see us! We will be Officially Open from 11:00 AM-6:00 PM Wednesday December 23rd and 10:00 AM-3:00 PM on Christmas Eve December 24th. We will be closed Friday Christmas Day December 25th so our staff can spend the holiday with their families.
